Six years ago, I saw a friend giving homemade honey and beeswax candles away as Christmas gifts. I first thought it was a very thoughtful and personal gift––to give someone something you spent dozens of hours cultivating. Then, it came to me––if I could learn how to do that, then I would never have to buy another gift for anyone ever again!
High Haven Honey was born.
I’m a carpenter by trade, but what once was just a hobby is now a demanding and rewarding second career. I love what I do, and and I’m so happy that customers all over Cape Ann and the North Shore have come to enjoy so much the honey products that we lovingly hand-craft––“we” meaning myself and the roughly 350,000 bees (that are very much like children to me) in the dozen hives in our humble West Gloucester apiary.
